SPROCKET: Gaps In Film Reviewed

One of our customers at MoCCA picked up a couple of books and wrote about them here.

"SPROCKET: GAPS IN FILM is an interesting hybrid of art and text, a guide to lost, unreleased movies that never actually existed."

The Wizard World Rocks A Bit Less These Days

After happening on this analysis of the upcoming Wizard World Chicago, I started musing on our last couple visits there. We at CLP made a conscious decision to stop buying a table there last year, but we just can't stop showing up for a day to say hi to old friends and such. Here's our 2008 report, with shaky stomach-churning video; here's the 2007 report (our last year exhibiting there). Even in 2007 we saw signs of future trouble with the sudden and not-quite-believably-thoughtful presentation of rest areas in the midst of the dealers' area.

For completeness, here's 2006, 2005.

It's a weird show, because it always ends up costing us a lot for a show we drive to. We've done other cons for less; in fact, our new plan is to start getting out to a lot more cons. We're doing the Mini-Megacon in Orlando Aug 22-23, by the way. More details very soon!

HAHAHAHAHAHA We're back!

Once upon a time we lost this domain to the cluster-shutyomouth that was Registerfly. Then it was a link-farm, then the economic downturn apparently made it not such a hot idea to sit on thousands of domains hoping their previous owner would shell out big cash. Then Carter and I were talking about changing our busines cards, since they still mentioned our long-dead alternate blog.

Then I thought--well, why not see if it's still imprisioned? Well, patience has won out! Welcome back, Creators On Demand!

Bye bye domain...

Ah Registerfly. What hasn't been said about them? Well, in the midst of their meltdown, they seem to be taking this domain with it. So if this turns to porn sometime, sorry. Our main blog at www.candlelightpress.net is still there and considerably more active. Go see!

God, this place is falling apart...

....does anyone still live here? I'll blow the dust off by saying, "Hey, check out the new comics network thingy called Comicspace! We here at CLP have spaces there...lotsa links and comics craziness!"
